Somehow can't really believe this

I still find it hard to believe the accusations the a Muslim chaplin is somehow a terrorist sympathizer and committed various acts of sabotage, treason, whatever. Part of my skepticism is due in part to the chaplin's past service in the military and being a graduate of West Point and the fact that I find it difficult to believe that a chaplin could have access to any material that was truly sensitive and classified.

My greatest skepticism comes because of reports of anti-Islamic activities being carried out (with or without approval) by the government and military against ordinary Americans who refuse to hide that they are Muslims or see nothing wrong with Muslims practicing their religion openly.

There are too many suspicious activities going unreported in the mainstream media targeting people associated in some way with the on going War on Terrorism:

US Military linguists (not intelligence officers or special ops personnel) being killed while on duty, but the military is unable or unwilling to say how these people died.

Arab and Persians serving in the US Military being accused of a number of violations, such as being accused (without evidence) of being homosexual, as excuses to purge them from the ranks.

Attacks on Arab, Persian, and "Arab looking" people's being brushed off as insignificant in most parts of the country. (I say most because in Phoenix, AZ they're taking serious the number of crimes that ended in the deaths and assaults of Sikhs by morons who are too stupid to know the difference between an Arab and a Sikh)

I'm sure there are some so called Islamic fundamentalist nutbags out there that have tried to infiltrate the defenses of the United States but the people the government keeps trotting out for the newsmedia are the least likely to have the means or opportunity to commit their alleged crimes. So far every single one of these people that has stood and fought these charges has not even been convicted.

The only one to go on trial so far will most likely end up walking because AG Ashcroft refuses to obey hiw own judges rulings that would give the man a fair hearing as required under the Constitution! This in a case that has all but already proven the man guilty of enough crimes to convict him to life in prison.

Sorry, but there's something fishy going on. I'm all for security and protecting this country, but not at the expense of our country's ideals and certainly not so a small minority can crush the rights of those different than they.
