It's been a very long time since posting here at Floating Dolphin. I've been posting over at Gray's Void over at Livejournal and Thirdsphere over at Wordpress. Today's Experimental Space Systems Engineering class was pretty fun. We worked a little with Satellite Tool Kit as part of our first lab. The best part, though, was tuning into the NOAA 17 satellite that was making a quick pass over us. We got some interesting images from NOAA 17, an especially nice pic of the Gulf of Mexico, Central America, and the Southwestern United States.

Well the Summer A grades are posted. I got a B and a C. Lower than I had hoped, but acceptable I suppose, especially given how poorly the second final went for me. At least it picks up the GPA a little. Not much, but it's something. Just reinforces my determination to get As in the rest of my classes. A tough thing to do at ERAU, but not completely impossible.

Well my first final of Summer A was today. I think it went pretty well, well enough that I'm fairly confident that I will get an A. The only thing I could think of as to why I would not is if I made some silly math errors and what not. So I'm pretty sure I'll get a good grade for that class. Next up is Monday's final exam.

Well today was a study day at the school. My first classes review session only four people showed up in all. For the second, nearly everyone was present. I also got back our grades for both class projects. The groups ended up with a B in each one. So it looks like I simply will need to get a B in both finals to get a B in the classes. Yep, the Arizona Rattlers defeated the Colorado Crush to win the semifinal game and advance to Arena Bowl XVIII in 2 weeks. It was a pretty close game, but the Crush made some critical errors (in my opinion) in the final :30 of the game including giving Arizona the go ahead TD. So, the "Over The Hill Gang" will host the San Jose Sabrecats in two weeks at America West Arena. Go Rattlers!

School went pretty well today. I got a 90 on yesterday's quiz and I feel I did well on today's quiz. The return to classes was for the most part normal with no real excitement. I did pretty well on one exam we got back, but kind of screwed up the other. I can't really complain though. Well I haven't had computer access this weekend until now, thanks to my brother. t'sa been a pretty slow and lazy weekend anyway so I don't really mind. I've watched a loft of softball what with the Women's NCAA Softball championship going on. I'm pleased the PAC-10 has made such a strong showing and hope UCLA takes it all. Also glad to see the Rattler's make sucha great comeback in the AFL.

My best friend is starting up his own webhosting/computer support company. Looks like a pretty good deal for small websites not expecting a wole lot of traffic. It's not bad for $5 a month for the low end package from what I can see. Well MA441 went okay today. We had a substitute professor teach the class as the regular prof was attending a math conference in Phoenix. I think I'm going to do well with this TTH math schedule. Tomorrow classes start up again at ERAU. I'm looking forward to it, new challenges and another step closer to my degree. I got my books and other supplies today. Came off pretty well with only a $300.00 hit to the old pocketbook. It would have been fifty bucks less if not for the bookstore not having any used Thermo books, but that's okay. Yep. The next semester at ERAU Prescott begins next week. Monday and Tuesday are orientation day and classes start up again Wednesday. Should be an interesting semester, considering I've put upon my self the goal of getting A's in all classes like I used to do at Phoenix College last year at this time. I really need to get back to writing fanfic. I've got way too many fics waiting to be finished. I didn't even realize it has been so long since I finished a fic until today while perusing some stories at ScapeRoute. I guess between the Savefarscape campaign and school I just haven't felt like writing stories much. Maybe I'll go watch some Farscape DVDs to get into the mood to write again.
